Luciano Spalletti has been officially appointed as the new head coach of Juventus, signing a contract that runs until June 2026, marking his return to club management after a brief hiatus.
The 66-year-old Italian tactician replaces Igor Tudor, who was dismissed earlier this week following a disappointing run of results that left the Bianconeri struggling for consistency in Serie A.
Spalletti, one of Italy’s most experienced and tactically astute managers, returns to the dugout after leading Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years during the 2022/2023 season a triumph that solidified his reputation as one of Europe’s elite coaches.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, all formalities have been completed.
“All documents have been approved: Luciano Spalletti signs in as Juventus manager until June 2026, to be extended if they qualify for the UCL 2026/27,” Romano posted on Wednesday.

Spalletti’s arrival signals a fresh start for Juventus, who ended an eight-match winless streak with a 3-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday. The club’s board expressed optimism that his leadership will restore stability and competitiveness to a team long considered a powerhouse in Italian football.
In his managerial career spanning over two decades, Spalletti has managed top clubs including AS Roma, Inter Milan, and Napoli, earning praise for his fluid attacking systems, tactical intelligence, and ability to rejuvenate underperforming squads.
Club officials said Spalletti’s appointment aligns with Juventus’ renewed vision of rebuilding both on and off the pitch, following turbulent seasons marked by managerial instability and financial challenges.
His immediate task will be to guide the Turin giants back into Champions League contention and reestablish their dominance in Serie A and European competitions.
