Mr. Olatunde Amolegbe, Managing Director/CEO of Arthur Stevens Asset Management Limited, has been announced as the Keynote Speaker for the Business Journal Annual Lecture 2025.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, at Oriental Hotel, Lekki Road, Victoria Island, Lagos, with commencement set for 10:00 a.m.

This year’s lecture is themed “AI & Digital Economy: Projecting the Future of Economic Growth in Nigeria,” highlighting the rising influence of technology in shaping national development and the evolving business landscape.

Amolegbe, the immediate past President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers,CIS, is recognised for his leadership and broad contribution to Nigeria’s financial market.

He leads Arthur Stevens Asset Management Limited with expertise spanning investment banking, corporate finance, asset management, securities trading, and investment research.

His professional journey includes roles at IMB Securities Plc, Securities Solutions Limited, and FCMB Pension Managers.

An alumnus of the University of Ilorin and the University of Liverpool, Amolegbe holds advanced degrees in Business and Corporate Finance.

He has served in multiple leadership capacities within CIS, reinforcing his reputation as an advocate for market efficiency and industry advancement.

Speaking on the upcoming lecture, Business Journal Publisher/Editor-in-Chief Prince Cookey said the selection of Amolegbe was driven by his track record and his strong grasp of emerging issues in Nigeria’s economy.

Cookey stated that Amolegbe represents a modern class of market professionals committed to driving sustainable economic growth despite national challenges.

He noted that the lecture is expected to provide deep insight into the relationship between artificial intelligence, digitalisation, and economic transformation in Nigeria.

The event will be chaired by Professor Anthony Kila, Pro-Chancellor, Michael & Cecilia Ibru University.

Panel members for the lecture include Mr. Garba Kurfi, Managing Director/CEO, APT Securities and Funds Limited; Mr. Nelson Akerele, Managing Director/CEO, Enterprise Life Assurance Nigeria Limited; and Dr. Abidemi Adegboye from the Department of Economics, University of Lagos.

The 2025 edition of the annual lecture aims to spark critical dialogue on Nigeria’s preparedness for a technology-driven economic future, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and academics.
