Dr. Anne Temiloluwa Ojo-Lanre has earned a Doctor of Philosophy,PhD, in International Relations from Lead City University, Ibadan, marking a major academic milestone for the rising scholar and her family.

The honour was conferred yesterday during the university’s 28th Convocation Ceremony, where she stood out among the institution’s newest group of accomplished graduates.

Her latest achievement crowns a journey marked by discipline, strong family values, and consistent academic excellence.

Temiloluwa began her education at Pacesetters Nursery and Primary School, Ibadan, where her brilliance and early leadership qualities first became evident.

She later attended Our Lady and St. Francis Catholic College, Osogbo, a school known for high academic and moral standards, further strengthening her commitment to personal growth and academic success.

She proceeded to Bowen University, Iwo, where she studied Sociology and received the “Most Sought-After Lady of Grace” award, celebrating her intellect, poise, interpersonal skill, and exemplary conduct.

Her interest in diplomacy and global relations led her to pursue a Master’s Degree in International Relations at Lead City University before moving on to the doctoral programme in the same field.

The strong academic background of her parents played a key role in shaping her drive for excellence. Her mother, Mrs. Moyo Ojo-Lanre, a school principal, holds degrees in Education from Adeyemi University of Education and the University of Ibadan.

Her father, Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre, Director-General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, is widely regarded for his work in journalism, cultural diplomacy, and tourism advocacy, with academic qualifications that span history education, peace and conflict studies, journalism, and law.

Colleagues and mentors describe Temiloluwa as diligent, culturally grounded, articulate, and exceptionally brilliant.

Her research interest in cultural diplomacy, soft-power relations, and global peace studies reflects a growing influence in fields central to Nigeria’s evolving international engagement. Many who have worked with her note her analytical depth, writing skill, and calm diplomatic approach.

Her accomplishment has been widely celebrated as a model of perseverance and value-driven upbringing at a time when Nigeria continues to seek young minds capable of strengthening national development and global representation.

For her family, the moment adds another distinguished chapter to an already accomplished academic lineage. For Ekiti State and the broader intellectual community, it marks the emergence of a new voice in diplomacy and cultural discourse.

As she received her doctorate, the applause that filled the hall underscored both pride and expectation—signalling her entry into a space where her expertise may shape conversations on culture, peace, and global relations in the years ahead.

Congratulations continue to pour in for Dr. Anne Temiloluwa Ojo-Lanre as she embarks on the next phase of her scholarly and professional journey.
