The police on Monday arraigned a 16-year-old girl jusbefore a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court over an alleged threat to kill a 15-year-old girl for reportedly snatching her boyfriend.

The defendant, whose address was not provided, is facing charges of threat to life and breach of public peace.

She, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor, Insp. Friday Mameh, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Feb. 20 at about 9.00 p.m. at Khalakuta Jegba Quarters, Badagry, Lagos.

Mameh alleged that the defendant attempted to kill the complainant (name withheld) by using a razor blade to cut her face, thereby inflicting injuries on her.

He said the defendant conducted herself in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by creating pandemonium in the area.
