The Nigerian Capital Development Fund, has launched the NCDF Executive Leadership Fellowship Programme, a selective leadership development and placement initiative aimed at preparing experienced professionals, emerging executives and diaspora talent for future leadership roles across its ecosystem.
The programme is part of the Group’s broader transformation, recapitalisation and institutional growth strategy, as it expands its operating platforms in investment management, capital markets, digital finance, affordable and diaspora housing, healthcare infrastructure, agro-processing, education, public-private partnerships, technology-enabled development and diaspora capital mobilisation.
NCDF Group said the Fellowship is designed as a senior leadership pathway rather than a conventional internship programme. Participants will be assigned to live projects across the Group’s strategic platforms and assessed on performance, leadership readiness, reporting quality and measurable contribution.
The programme will be delivered with executive development support from the London School of Social Enterprise and Sustainable Economics (LSSE), which will serve as the Knowledge, Capacity-Building, Assessment and Certification Partner. LSSE is expected to provide structured learning, leadership clinics, assessment frameworks and professional development support for Fellows.
In a statement announcing the launch, NCDF Group said the initiative reflects its commitment to building both institutions and leadership capacity as it enters a new phase of growth.
“NCDF Group is entering a new phase of institutional growth. As we strengthen our platforms and prepare for wider capital mobilisation, we must also build a strong pipeline of capable leaders who understand execution, governance, financial discipline, partnerships, technology and impact. The Executive Leadership Fellowship Programme gives serious professionals and diaspora talents a structured route to contribute to this transformation,” the Group said.
According to the Group, Fellows may be deployed across several of its entities and platforms, including NCDF Holdings Limited, NCDF Investment Management Plc, NCDF Securities Limited, Konto Financial Group Plc, Fatherland Smart Cities Limited, AfriGo Digital Economic Zone, LifeCome Healthcare & Health Energy, NCDF Impact Knowledge, NCDF Commercial Services Limited, and diaspora-focused engagement platforms.

The Fellowship is open to professionals based in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and the wider diaspora community. NCDF Group said diaspora participants will be able to engage through remote, hybrid or project-based pathways, particularly in areas such as investor engagement, diaspora housing, international partnerships, healthcare, education, ESG, technology, financial inclusion and market access.
The company added that the initiative is intended to strengthen institutional capacity while creating a merit-based route for identifying future leaders.
Outstanding participants may be considered for future senior leadership, assistant executive, platform management, advisory or project-specific roles within the NCDF Group ecosystem. However, the Group stressed that participation in the Fellowship does not guarantee employment, with any long-term role to depend on performance, business needs, platform requirements, governance approval and the Group’s wider recapitalisation and growth plans.
The launch comes as NCDF Group continues repositioning itself as an institutional platform focused on capital mobilisation, execution and technology-enabled development, with an emphasis on generating financial returns, measurable social impact and long-term stakeholder value.
