The All Progressives Congress has nominated President Bola Tinubu as its candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
His affirmation was done at the International Conference Centre, Abuja at 4.25pm Sunday after the Chairman of the Presidential primary election, Chief Pius Anyim announced that TiAPCnubu won over 10 million votes against his challenger Stanley Osifor who scored 16,503 votes.
After the announcement of the results Osifor walked up to President Tinubu for a warm handshake even as he whispered to the President’s hear. First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu cheered the winner and the loser. Members of the APC clapped in approval.
Osifor Stanley Osayamen, had entered the race as the rare party man willing to test his strength against Tinubu, the incumbent president who already enjoyed the open backing of APC governors, National Assembly leaders and major power blocs within the ruling party.
