Burna Boy’s mother and manager, Bose Ogulu has urged the Grammy-winning singer to consider settling down and having children.

Ms Ogulu gave the advice while celebrating the singer’s 35th birthday with close friends and family on July 2. In a video from the event shared on Snapchat by one of Burna Boy’s associates, Richie 7, the singer was asked to make a birthday wish.

Burna Boy, while making his wish, said, “I wish for good health and prosperity. “His mother then interjected, saying, “Add good wife and children.”

The light-hearted exchange drew reactions from those present at the birthday celebration. Burna Boy, born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, had said in a previous interview that he remained unmarried and childless because he did not yet have the time to fully commit to family life.

The singer explained that he did not want to have children out of wedlock or raise children without being fully present in their lives because of his demanding music career.

The latest comment by his mother has again stirred conversation among fans about the singer’s personal life and future family plans.

Nollywood actress and evangelist Tonto Dikeh has urged Christian men not to use spirituality to mask emotional laziness while courting Christian sisters.

Tonto gave the advice in a video shared on Instagram. she urged men to step up when courting a lady for the purpose of marriage. She explained that some men adopt ‘low effort’ methods during courtship.

The mother of one noted that they should not rely solely on spiritual declarations as a substitute for genuine effort when pursuing a woman for marriage. She argued that using excuses like ‘God told me ’Is an attempt to bypass intentionality and practical effort.

“This is a very funny topic, but it is one that we actually need to discuss. So, if you are a brother in the Lord, come forward; this is for you. Why do church brothers think church sisters don’t require gifts? What about this low-effort thing you put into wooing or pursuing a woman? Church brothers would say, ‘God sent me to you,’ and blah, blah. God can send you, but using spiritual language to mask emotional laziness is a distortion of God’s character. Saying, ‘God told me you are my wife,’ is not an excuse to bypass intentionality and practical effort,” she said.
