The Kaduna State Election Petitions Tribunal in a split judgement has affirmed the election of Senator Uba Sani as governor.

The tribunal during its resumed proceeding on Thursday said the petition by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and its candidate, Rt. Hon.Isah Mohammed Ashiru lacked merit.

The verdict was announced via Zoom after the judges shunned the physical hall.

Recall that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and its candidate, Rt. Hon.Isah Mohammed Ashiru had approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Senator Sani by INEC as Governor of Kaduna state, alleging irregularities and electoral fraud and urged the tribunal to declare him as the winner of the election.
