Thousands of women in Kwara South Senatorial District have pledged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu towards his re-election, following a grassroots mobilisation exercise coordinated by the Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu.
The event, held in Offa, the district headquarters, forms part of an ongoing nationwide activation exercise targeting 176,846 communities ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Edu, who addressed the gathering through her Honorary Assistant, Hon. Taiye Mutiat Omotosho, assured the women that she would visit in person to deliver the message of the President’s Renewed Hope 2.0 agenda and that of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

“I mobilised these thousands of women you are seeing here today on the directive of my boss, Dr Betta Edu, for the re-election and continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in office till 2031,” Omotosho said. “We will begin our door-to-door canvassing as soon as we have the go-ahead from her.”
Omotosho, an APC House of Assembly candidate for Offa II State Constituency (Essa/Shawo/Igboidun), declared the women “100 per cent committed” to working for the President and the party’s candidates in 2027.
Responding enthusiastically, the women reaffirmed their support for Tinubu and the APC, pledging to take the campaign to the grassroots — reaching women across communities, wards and polling units throughout Kwara South.
They stressed that women would play a decisive role in building support for the President ahead of the polls.
Omotosho thanked participants for their turnout and urged them to sustain the momentum, describing the exercise as the start of a wider campaign to strengthen the APC women’s structure across Kwara State and beyond.
