Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, commonly known as petrol, from N1,265 to N1,350 per litre, effective Saturday, September 12, 2026.

The N85 per litre increase marks the fourth upward adjustment to the refinery’s petrol gantry price since August 21, bringing the total increase to N185, or 15.9 per cent, in 22 days.

The refinery had raised the price from N1,165 to N1,185 per litre on August 21, before increasing it to N1,200 on August 26 and N1,265 on August 29.

In a circular issued late Friday by the Group Commercial Operations of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals, DPRP, the company notified customers of the revised prices.

The circular stated, “Dear Valued Customer, please find below the revised DPRP PMS gantry and coastal prices, which are effective from 12th September 2026.”

It added that the coastal price had been increased from N1,669,545 to N1,783,530 per metric tonne, while the gantry price rose from N1,265 to N1,350 per litre.

The company directed customers to return all existing Authority to Collect documents for repricing, adding that a new volume contract would be issued to enable the immediate resumption of loading.

Petroleumprice.ng also confirmed the new gantry price of N1,350 per litre and the increase in the coastal delivery price.

The latest adjustment comes amid elevated international crude oil prices, with Brent crude recently rising above $104 per barrel after earlier surpassing $107 as the prolonged confrontation between the United States and Iran continued to disrupt oil supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.

Oil flows through the strategic waterway have fallen sharply in recent weeks, with volumes dropping below levels recorded during the earlier recovery period.

Attacks on tankers and restrictions on shipping have intensified concerns over global supply, keeping international oil benchmarks elevated and putting upward pressure on refined petroleum product costs.

Officials of the Dangote refinery had yet to respond to messages seeking further details on the latest price adjustment as of the time of filing this report.
