Temitope Chigbue, popularly known as Temi Nkem, has won Season 11 of the Big Brother Naija reality show.

The 21-year-old won the “Show Ya Sef” edition at the show’s live grand finale on Sunday, beating eight other finalists to the grand prize.

The grand prize is worth N160 million, made up of N100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV. It is the biggest prize package in the show’s history.

Temi Nkem, Aikou and Sheba were the last three housemates standing. Barry, Oyin, Ricky and Flora were evicted first on the night, followed by Tram and then Bluethopia, who finished as third runner-up.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the season began on July 26 with 24 housemates, who competed through evictions, tasks, Arena games and other challenges for more than 70 days before the final nine emerged.

The finalists were Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram.

Who is Temi Nkem?

Temi Nkem was born and raised in London, United Kingdom, and her roots are in Delta. She entered the house as an undergraduate and was one of the youngest housemates of the season.

Before entering the house, she described herself as “very egotistical and arrogant”. She said she did not shrink herself for anyone and listed listening and giving advice as her hidden talents.

She stayed one of the most visible housemates all season, and her British accent and bluntness often divided both housemates and viewers.

During the final week, she was one of three housemates, with Ricky and Tram, announced as evicted on a live show. Biggie later revealed it was a fake eviction, and all three returned to the house.

A season of twists

The season, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu for the tenth season in a row, brought several new twists.

One was “The Gambit”, which viewers voted Aikou and Flora into early in the season. The role guaranteed them places in the finale. However, organisers said it also made them ineligible for the grand prize.

Biggie also made the prize money depend on performance. Each task the housemates failed cost N5 million from the prize pot, and the deducted money was set aside for housemates voted the most influential by their peers.

There were two disqualifications. Nomy was disqualified for repeatedly defying Biggie’s instructions.

Keivo was disqualified days before the finale after a physical fight with Tram over a disputed shirt. His removal cut the number of finalists from 10 to nine.

Earlier, Barry won the Week Eight Head of House title and the Ultimate Veto Power. Given the choice between “Immunity For All” and “Immunity For None”, he chose immunity for all, which sent all of the final 10 housemates to the finale.

Joining the winners’ list

Temi Nkem succeeds Imisi Ayanwale, who won Season 10 in October 2025 and took home a N150 million prize package.

BBNaija is the Nigerian version of the global Big Brother franchise. It first aired in 2006, went off air for 11 years and returned in 2017.

Previous winners are Katung Aduwak (2006), Efe Ejeba (2017), Miracle Igbokwe (2018), Mercy Eke (2019), Laycon (2020), Whitemoney (2021), Phyna (2022), Ilebaye (2023), Kellyrae (2024) and Imisi (2025).

Temi Nkem is the fifth woman to win the show, after Mercy Eke, Phyna, Ilebaye and Imisi. Mercy Eke was the first in 2019.
