Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has teamed up with Facebook to promote Nigerian storytelling through the global premieres of her upcoming movie.
The partnership will support the London world premiere and Lagos premiere of Akindele’s latest film, The Four: No One Fights Alone, bringing together content creators, celebrities and movie enthusiasts to celebrate Nigerian cinema.
Meta’s Head of Communications for Sub-Saharan Africa, Oluwasola Obagbemi, said the collaboration would showcase how Facebook helps creators connect with fans, build communities and reach global audiences through original content.
Obagbemi added that the initiative would also provide opportunities for content creators to share their work and earn income from original content published on the platform.

Akindele said the partnership would help take African stories to a wider international audience.
The collaboration will also highlight Nigerian creators in the country and across the diaspora, with behind-the-scenes content and coverage of both premieres to be shared on Facebook.
The Four: No One Fights Alone is scheduled to open in cinemas nationwide on the 11th of December, 2026.
