President Bola Tinubu has prayed for Nigeria’s diversity to become a source of prosperity, unity, peace and sustainable development for the benefit of all citizens.
The President offered the prayer on Sunday in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, while hosting members of his delegation to dinner.
Tinubu expressed hope that Nigeria’s ethnic, religious and cultural differences would continue to strengthen national unity and development rather than fuel division.
He urged Nigerians to embrace mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence and a shared commitment to the country’s progress.
The President also prayed for lasting peace, harmony and prosperity, asking Almighty Allah to grant the nation’s leaders the wisdom, courage and foresight to advance development and improve living conditions.
“May Almighty Allah bless Nigeria, convert our diversity into prosperity as a country,” Tinubu said.
He further sought divine guidance and protection for Nigerians at home and abroad, praying that Allah would strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among citizens and inspire patriotism, compassion and service to the nation.
Tinubu said Nigeria’s abundant human and natural resources, alongside the talents, creativity and enterprise of its diverse population, provided a strong foundation for building an inclusive and prosperous country.
Onanuga said the dinner offered members of the presidential delegation an opportunity to share fellowship and reflect on their aspirations for a peaceful, united and prosperous Nigeria.
The President urged Nigerians across religious and ethnic lines to work together in the national interest, expressing confidence that faith, unity of purpose and collective determination would help the country overcome its challenges and fulfil its potential.
Chairman of BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, reaffirmed his support for Tinubu’s commitment to Nigeria’s peace, unity and prosperity.
Rabiu said the dinner was the third gathering with the President since his arrival in Makkah on Thursday night or Friday morning.

“We will continue to support His Excellency in whatever capacity we can and definitely, as you all know, Mr President is very passionate about the country. He’s working very hard, and we’ll continue to support him,” he said.
Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, said the forum appreciated the President’s commitment to building a united and prosperous nation.
He prayed for divine guidance and strength for Tinubu as he makes decisions on behalf of the country.
“Only Allah can reward you; we will continue to pray for you daily and pray for Nigeria that you lead. May Allah continue to strengthen you in making the right decisions, strengthen your wisdom, your boldness, your audacity, your courage. May Allah lead you to the right path,” AbdulRazaq said.
