In a significant administrative move, President Bola Tinubu has sworn in eight new Permanent Secretaries who recently emerged successful in the rigorous Federal Civil Service selection process.
The induction ceremony took place just before the commencement of the ongoing Federal Executive Council ,FEC, meeting.
The newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries are Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo, Adeoye Adeleye Ayodeji, Rimi Nura Abba, Bako Deborah Odoh, Omachi Raymond Omenka, Ahmed Dunoma Umar, Watti Tinuke, and Ella Nicholas Agbo.
President Tinubu is currently presiding over the week’s FEC meeting, with the attendance of Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The meeting boasts the presence of key figures, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation ,SGF, George Akume, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.
Notably, virtually all ministers and several senior aides of the President have been designated to participate in the FEC meeting, underlining the importance of the gathering in the ongoing governance affairs.
The swearing-in of the new Permanent Secretaries aligns with the administration’s commitment to reinforcing the civil service with competent and skilled professionals, ensuring efficient and effective public service delivery.
