Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP, governorship candidate in Kogi has declared that he will not challenge the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 11 polls.
Melaye, who secured a distant third position in the election, expressed his lack of confidence in the judiciary and accused it of being under the control of the APC.
In a press statement on Wednesday, November 29, Melaye alleged that the judiciary is no longer an autonomous institution but has become a department under the APC.
He questioned the credibility of approaching the tribunal when, in his view, the APC has taken control of the judiciary.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Usman Ododo, the APC candidate, as the winner of the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State.
