The Lagos State Government has issued an order requiring all tankers and trailers parked at Cele Bus Stop to Tin Can Port to immediately vacate the road.

The Lagos government stated that the decision to remove the tankers and trailers from the road was a decisive step toward addressing ongoing congestion and alleviating the challenges faced by commuters along the Cele bus stop inward Tincan Port axis.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Sola Giwa, said the directive underscored the state government’s commitment to ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and minimizing disruptions caused by the persistent presence of heavy-duty vehicles in the specified location.

Giwa stated that the order aimed to improve overall mobility for residents and commuters in the affected area, the government prioritized public safety and well-being by emphasizing the importance of a clear and unobstructed road network.

He urged tanker and trailer drivers to follow this directive or face penalties under the State Transport Reform Law.
