Governor Abdullahi Sule has named Prof Attaihiru Jega, a former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, pro-chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, NSUK.
This is stated in a statement made on Thursday in Lafia and signed by Mr. Aliyu Ubandoma, the Secretary to the State Government .
Ubandoma claimed that , the appointment was made in accordance with the authority granted to Sule as the institution’s guest. The governor also gave his approval, demonstrating the administration’s dedication to achieving academic excellence at the university.
He said that Mr. Shuaibu Kore, Mr. Thomas Ogiri, and Mrs. Mary Enwongulu had also been appointed by the governor to the governing council.
The governing council, he said, would take office on a dtae to be announced later.
