Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has refused to rule out replacing Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Klopp unexpectedly announced on Friday that he will be quitting the position at the end of the current season.
Following his great season at Leverkusen, Alonso has been regarded as a strong prospect to succeed the German.
The former midfielder played for the Reds in the mid-2000s and was part of Rafael Benitez’s side that conquered Europe in Istanbul in 2005
