The Federal Government is unsure of when Nigerians stranded in Sudan will be evacuated despite the raging war in that country. 9
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Nasir Sanni Gwarzo told newsmenin Abuja that the ministry had difficulty remitting the $1.2 million approved for road transportation to Sudan.
The funds were primarily to rent commuter buses to ferry Nigerians from Sudan to Egypt for onward flight home.
There were also reports of difficulties in getting clearance from Egyptian government to enable Nigerians access enter trhe country without visas.
