The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspected traffic robbers, whose gang had been terrorising motorists in Iganmu /Ijora Badia areas of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest to the newsmen on Monday.

Hundeyin disclosed that the suspects were tracked through their mobile phones, which fell off from the pocket of one of the suspects, while escaping initial arrest.

He added that a resident raised an alarm about the suspects’ activities on Saturday, at about 2.00 p.m.

The command’s spokesperson explained that the resident raised the alarm after a group of hoodlums, numbering about 10, swooped on him and robbed him of N30,000, while fixing his car under the Iganmu Bridge.

He said that the alarm attracted the attention of the police surveillance team of Ijora Badia Police Division and a vigilance group on Moshood Abiola Way, Ijora, who gave the robbers a hot pursuit.
