The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested five suspected internet fraudsters in Makurdi, Benue State Capital.
The EFCC Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, who confirmed this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja, disclosed that suspects were arrested on Friday at kansho village in Makurdi.
He stated that the arrest is sequel to the actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet – related offences.

“The suspects are Shima Francis, Ode Jesse, Odey Linus, Kingsley Obinna and Emmanuel Inalegwu.
“Items recovered from them are one iPhone and five android phones.
“The suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded”, he said.
In the same development, the EFCC arrested one Ekene Ibegbu in connection with alleged racketeering of more than N1.5 million
Oyewale, in a statement disclosed that the suspect was arrested by members of the Special Task Force of the Commission attached to the Enugu Command on Thursday on Owerri-Enugu Road.
He said the arrest was sequel to actionable intelligence about his suspected involvement in currency racketeering.
“He would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded”, he said.
