Christopher Danjuma, Head coach of the Falconets, Nigeria’s Under 20 female football team, affirmed on Monday that they are determined to achieve a podium finish at the 2023 African Games in Ghana.

Coach Danjuma revealed to News Men in Abuja that 20 out of the 29 players selected in the camp would depart for Ghana on Tuesday. The team has been in camp since February 15, and the atmosphere is filled with excitement.
Most of the players are debutants, eager to represent Nigeria and uphold the country’s honor by retaining the Gold they won in 2019. Danjuma emphasized that they respect every opponent, considering that all teams have qualified for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup scheduled for Colombia later in the year.

”We are aiming to repeat the same feat at the 2019 African games,” he said.
He stated that the Falconets’ final list for the games would be released later.
