Manchester United executives have travelled to Getafe to discuss Mason Greenwood’s future, according to Marca.

Greenwood, who is currently on a season-long loan at Getafe, has a contract with United until June 2025.  Greenwood was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of raping and assaulting a woman, followed by sexual assault and death threats. Since then, Greenwood has not trained with or played for United or England. He was charged in October 2022 with attempted rape, assault resulting in actual bodily harm, and controlling and coercive behaviour. In February 2023, all charges against him were dismissed. Greenwood and Manchester United announced his departure in August 2023, and he was loaned to Getafe in September of the same year.
