After spending about 10 days in a kidnappers’ den, Kwara State Police Command has rescued Mr Peng Chao Zhang, a Chinese national, from his abductors in a forest in the state.

Zhang, also known as Williams Kaka among his business associates, was rescued by police on Tuesday following a series of searches and investigations in the state’s forest by the Police Tactical Team and Vigilante.

Zhang was reportedly abducted by a gang of six armed men at Cherish Guest House in Eiye-nkorin, on the outskirts of Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.

The Chinese national reportedly stayed in the guest house for more than two months, transacting business before the incident.
