The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of special investigation at Panti, Lagos State, Gbolahan Olugbemi, has reportedly died by suicide.
Olugbemi, who previously served as an aide de camp to the late Adebayo Alao Akala, a former governor of Oyo State, was discovered dead in his home on Monday afternoon. The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation.
His death was discovered in the house on Monday afternoon; however, it is still unknown who found the body.

Olugbemi lived alone on Petros Academy Street in the Federal Lowcost area in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
It’s uncertain whether the deceased was married. The police have cordoned off the area, and groups of supporters are gathered, discussing the situation in hushed tones. According to a source, the deceased sometimes arrived home with police security, and recently, they saw him personally driving into his beautiful mansion.
