Saudi Arabia has announced that the crescent of Shawwal has not been sighted, indicating that fasting will continue on Tuesday.
The celebration of Eid-El-Fitr, marking the end of the month of Ramadan and the beginning of a new Islamic month, is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 10, as confirmed on an official platform for the global Muslim community.
In their announcement, they stated: “The crescent moon was not sighted in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, Eid Al Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10th April 2024.”

“May Allah accept our siyām, qiyām, and a’māl, and grant us many more Ramadans in good health. Āmīn.”
Nigerian Muslims, on the other hand, are expected to wait until later in the day for Sa’ad Abubakar, President General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Sultan of Sokoto, to make his declaration.
