The Flying Eagles of Nigeria are out of the Under-20 World Cup in Argentina, having lost by a lone goal to Korea Republic in the quarter-final match on Sunday.
No foals were scored by neither side at regulation time which necessitated an extra-time.
The Koreans broke the deadlock in the 95th minute when Choi Seok-Hyun headed home from a corner kick by Seung-Won Lee
Earlier in the 51st minute, Daniel Bameyi unleashed a beautiful mid-range volley to the middle of the goal, but his effort was thwarted by the keeper.
The Eagles almost equalised at extra-time. Ume Emmanuel made space inside the box for a shot, but his effort went just wide off the right post.
The Koreans scored with their only shot on target, while the Nigerian side wasted three opportunities in the game they dominated.
The Koreans were resilient at the back and never allowed their defence to be breached all throughout the match.
Korea Republic will now play Italy in one of the semi-finals to decide which team goes into the final.
