President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the Southern Parkway, the S8/S9, Christian Centre to Ring Road 1, Abuja, as the Federal Capital Territory Administration rolls out an elaborate programme of project commissioning.
Commissioning the road formerly known as Southern Parkway, the President said the completion of the road underscored his administration’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
He affirmed that his government will sustain infrastructure as the enabler of economic development and prosperity.
“We recognize the fact that infrastructure is an enabler of economic development and prosperity. We believe we are going to achieve all of that,” he said.

The President commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike for the completion of the road project.
The 5.4-kilometre roadway will ease traffic congestion and evacuate traffic from the city center, reduce delays and increase manhour.
The newly commissioned way, named Bola Ahmed Tinubu dual carriage way, was constructed by SETRACO.
