Abdulsalami meets Tinubu at presidential villa

The former military head of state Abdulsalami Abubakar, has visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the presidential villa, Abuja.

In a video of Abdulsalami’s arrival shared by the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, the president was on hand to receive him as he alighted from his vehicle.

Both leaders moved to the president’s office for a close door meeting after exchanging banter.

The purpose of the meeting remains unknown as of the time of filing this report.

Abdulsalami is the second former leader of the country Tinubu would be having a sit-down with since he became president

Credible News recalls that president Tinubu earlier met with former President Goodluck Jonathan at the presidential villa, On Tuesday.

Addressing journalists after the meeting, Jonathan said he briefed the president on developments within the West African sub-region.
