An operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday reportedly committed suicide at his residence in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
It was learnt that the deceased, whose identity has not been disclosed, was a member of Course 5 of the anti-graft agency’s academy.
The EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale stated that an investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the sad incident.

He added that the agency is exploring possible factors, including mental health and family challenges, that may have contributed to the operative committing suicide.
Oyewale said the Commission will not issue any statement or release the operative’s name pending the conclusion of the investigation.
