Incumbent Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa is set for victory with 98.53% of results uploaded by the Independent National Electoral Commission to its Result Viewing Portal.
At 5 am Sunday results from 3,895 polling unit out of 3,933 where the election took place have been made available online. Figures from 13 local government areas showed Aiyedatiwa in comfortable lead.
Electoral officers were awaiting results from five more LGAs.

Though 18 political parties participated in the election, incumbent governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and former deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi are seen as the main contenders.
While Aiyedatiwa ran on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Ajayi ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
