Veteran Nigerian actor, John Amaefule has been hospitalised after suffering a stroke.
Amaefule is receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center, Owerri, and is in urgent need of financial assistance.
Actor Stanley Ontop made a public appeal via his Instagram page, stating:
“Nollywood veteran actor John Amaefule was rushed to the hospital this morning in Owerri after suffering a stroke.
“His family is asking Nigerians to please help. He’s currently in FMC Owerri, and they need money to save this man. He had a stroke on the left side of his brain, which is likely causing right-sided weakness. They need to conduct a Lipid panel test, Haemoglobin A1C test, and Electrolyte, Urea, and Creatinine tests for him,” he added.
Stanley urged members of the Nollywood community and the general public to support Amaefule’s medical care. He provided details of the necessary medical procedures and a designated bank account for donations to help cover hospital bills.
Fans and well-wishers have since expressed their solidarity, sending prayers and messages of support as efforts to secure financial aid for Amaefule continue. Many within the entertainment industry have amplified the call for assistance, emphasizing the need for collective action to aid the beloved actor’s recovery.
