The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has issued a press statement applauding the Supreme Court’s dismissal of the case filed by the People’s Democratic Party governorship candidate, Hon. Agboola Alfred Ajayi, challenging the November 16, 2024, election outcome.

The statement described the ruling as a firm affirmation of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s overwhelming mandate, emphasizing that Ajayi’s lawsuit lacked merit and was a futile attempt to undermine the will of the people.

Governor Aiyedatiwa secured a historic 18-0 victory across all local government areas in the state, yet Ajayi sought to contest the outcome in court, citing concerns over Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy and alleged discrepancies in his deputy’s name change. The APC dismissed these claims as baseless distractions.

With the legal hurdle now cleared, the party reaffirmed its commitment to governance and delivering democratic dividends to the people of Ondo State.

State APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, in the statement, congratulated Governor Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Owolabi Adelami, expressing confidence in their leadership and dedication to the people’s welfare.
