A fire has devastated parts of the Aleshinloye market in Ibadan, Oyo State, resulting in the destruction of property worth millions of Naira.

The incident, which occurred at midnight, was confirmed by Mr. Yemi Akinyinka, General Manager of the Oyo State Fire Service.

Akinyinka issued a brief statement on Wednesday morning, informing the public that fire service personnel were still at the scene working to control the blaze.

He expressed gratitude to the management of SWEETCO for providing a truck and personnel, as well as to Sumal for dispatching their crew to assist in the efforts.

While the situation remains ongoing, Akinyinka noted that the management is unable to respond to individual inquiries at this time due to logistical concerns.
