The West African Examinations Council,WAEC, has released the results for the 2025 Computer-based West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE, for private candidates.
In a statement shared on its official X handle on Saturday, WAEC confirmed that the results for the first series of the private examination were now available.
But the announcement has sparked mixed reactions among candidates, as some encountered difficulties accessing their results.
While many successfully checked their scores, others reported technical issues. A candidate, Ephrata, voiced her frustration on X, stating that she received an error message indicating her scratch card had already been used by another person.
She expressed confusion, explaining that it was her first time using the card, and even after purchasing a new one, the issue persisted.
This challenge has left several candidates seeking clarification on the cause of the error and the necessary steps to resolve it. Some students have called on WAEC to provide solutions to prevent further complications.
The examination body is yet to address these concerns publicly. However, candidates experiencing similar problems are advised to contact WAEC’s official support channels for assistance.
The Computer-based WASSCE for private candidates is an initiative designed to offer flexible examination options for those who wish to improve their results or meet academic requirements outside the regular school system.
