President Traoré shines in football exhibition

A thrilling football match in Burkina Faso brought together some of Africa’s biggest football stars as they faced off against President Ibrahim Traoré and his team in an entertaining showdown.

The event, attended by fans and dignitaries, showcased both competition and camaraderie.

Among the football icons present were Burkina Faso’s Charles Kaboré, Senegal’s Souleymane Diawara and Mamadou Niang, Togo’s Mani Sapol, Nigeria’s Jay-Jay Okocha, and Cameroonian star Stéphane M’Bia. Their presence added prestige to the game, with fans eager to see their favorite players back in action.

The match saw President Traoré and his close associates take on the visiting football legends in a spirited contest. Despite being retired, stars like Okocha, Niang, Moumouni Dagano, and Emmanuel Adebayor displayed their renowned skills, thrilling the crowd with remarkable moves.

Commander Basile Zongo opened the scoring in the 11th minute for the President’s team. Just four minutes later, President Traoré stunned spectators with a powerful cross-shot, securing another goal. The President’s impressive performance set the pace for his team’s dominant display.

Mamadou Niang pulled one back in the 17th minute for the legends’ team, while Moumouni Dagano found the net in the 55th minute. However, President Traoré continued to dominate, scoring again in the 22nd and 47th minutes, completing a remarkable hat-trick.

By the final whistle, the President’s team had sealed a commanding 8-2 victory. The event left a lasting impression on attendees, with President Traoré’s outstanding performance making the match an unforgettable moment in African football history.
