The Saudi Arabian club, Al-Hilal have submitted a world-record formal bid, worth €300m, to Paris Saint Germain, PSG, to sign Kylian Mbappé immediately.
The move comes after PSG left the forward out of their squad for the pre-season tour of Japan, determined to sell him unless he signs a new contract.
Credible News reports that if the signing of Mbappe from PSG finally fall through, it will be the biggest fee ever recorded in football history for an individual.
No negotiations on player’s side have started at this stage as sources believe Kylian Mbappé wants to stay in Europe.
A renown journalist, Fabrizio Romano said PSG have been left infuriated by Mbappe’s desire to run down his contract and will reportedly look to sell the 24-year-old this summer in order to avoid losing him for nothing in a year’s time.
There have been no talks between Al-Hilal and Mbappé, and PSG remain convinced the 24-year-old has agreed terms to join Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2024 but there is still a chance that he could move to Al-Hilal for a world-record fee. Mbappé joined PSG from Monaco in 2018 for £166m.
Credible News gathered that the Saudi club is prepared to let Mbappe join Real Madrid after just one year if he wishes to do so, which could tempt the Frenchman into pushing for the record-breaking switch over the coming weeks.
