The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun Sector Command, has called on motorists to strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations to ensure a safe and accident-free Easter celebration.
Mr. Memee Timothy, Ifo Unit Commander of the FRSC, issued the advice on Tuesday in Ota, Ogun State.
He warned drivers against dangerous practices such as speeding, wrongful overtaking, and driving against traffic—all of which pose serious risks to lives.
He also cautioned against overloading and drunk driving, stressing that such actions significantly increase the likelihood of road crashes.

Timothy revealed that FRSC personnel would be stationed across major routes to monitor traffic flow, respond to emergencies, and assist with broken-down vehicles throughout the Easter period.
Officers will also be positioned at strategic points and construction zones to apprehend violators, especially those driving without valid licences or engaging in overloading.
“We appeal to all road users to cooperate with FRSC operatives and other security agencies to ensure a smooth and safe celebration,” he said.
Reaffirming the Corps’ dedication, Timothy assured that the FRSC remains committed to ensuring that commuters reach their destinations safely during the holiday.
