The Police in Kwara State are on the trails of a kidnap gang which Friday abducted seven persons along Kabba- Ilorin Highway.
Two persons have been rescued but the Nigerian Bar Association, Ilorin Branch has raised an alarm on the fate of Barrister Elizabeth Arinde, Head of the Legal Department at Oke Ero Local Government in Kwara State.
Chairman, Ilorin Branch, SMH Kosemani said she was abducted alongside the DPM of the Local Government on Friday while traveling from Oke Ero LGA to Ilorin.
“Her contact number is 08060628169 is no more going and there is no information as thereabout her yet.
“We will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
“Please share this information widely to aid in her rescue and pray for her release alive,” his statement read.

Kwara State Police Command spokesperson, SP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, in a statement disclosed that the Police Command received a report of a kidnap incident at about 5:45 p.m. on Friday at Eleyin village.
Reports said about five armed men blocked the highway, intercepted two private vehicles, and forcefully abducted all occupants to an unknown location.
Ejire-Adeyemi said the Command, working with the Military and Vigilantes, swiftly rescued two victims, identified as Ganiyu Ajayi and Kolawole Adeyemi.
She said efforts are ongoing to secure the release of the remaining five victims and apprehend the suspects responsible for the crime.
“The Command has heightened security measures across the area, including intensive bush combing, strategic patrols, and intelligence-driven operations to prevent further incidents,” she said.
She assured the public that robust strategies have been implemented to tackle criminal activities and safeguard lives and property across the state.
The spokesperson urged residents to remain calm, stay vigilant, and support security efforts by providing timely and credible information.
“Further updates will be provided as necessary,” she added.
