Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Kizz Daniel has released a new extended play titled “Lemon Chase”, a vibrant and emotionally layered body of work that sets the tone for his upcoming full-length album, “Uncle K.”
The release, confirmed by his media representative Christian Agadibe, CEO of Artmatazz Media, signals a creative shift for the singer.
Agadibe described the EP as more than just a musical offering — it’s a deeply personal and introspective expression of Kizz Daniel’s recent experiences, ranging from joy and triumph to pain, healing, and self-reflection.
It serves as a sonic diary of sorts, capturing the different emotional states one experiences while navigating love, loss, growth, and purpose.
“Lemon Chase is the artist’s response to life’s bittersweet journey,” Agadibe noted. “Each track tells a different story and is designed to resonate with listeners on multiple levels — whether they’re reflecting on past heartbreaks or embracing moments of peace and clarity.”
The project features notable collaborations with legendary Beninese singer and Grammy Award winner Angelique Kidjo, soulful Nigerian vocalist Johnny Drille, and rising stars like Odumodu Blvck, Bella Shmurda, Zlatan, and Fola, all of whom contribute uniquely to the EP’s emotional depth and dynamic energy.
These features are not just for name recognition, but each adds a distinct emotional or cultural texture, from Kidjo’s global soul influence to Odumodu Blvck’s raw street cadence.
Production-wise, Kizz Daniel reunites with several familiar names in the Nigerian music industry, including Reward Beatz, Magic Sticks, Ayzed, Blaise Beatz, and Bando, all of whom are known for their chemistry with the artist.
Their collaborative effort results in a rich blend of Afrobeats, soul, and contemporary pop sounds that give the EP both global appeal and cultural authenticity.

In a statement accompanying the EP’s release, Kizz Daniel explained the intention behind the project, saying, “When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade — but with Lemon Chase, I wanted to show that it’s okay to taste the sour moments too.
This project is about being honest with your emotions, facing them, and still finding a reason to sing through the struggle.”
Each track was crafted to stir emotion. From the romantic tension in the opening song to the haunting honesty of the closing track featuring Kidjo and Drille, Lemon Chase reveals a more vulnerable and mature side of Kizz Daniel.
The EP doesn’t just entertain — it initiates conversations about love, identity, and inner peace, making it one of the artist’s most thoughtful projects to date.
With Lemon Chase, Kizz Daniel is not only reinforcing his reputation as a hitmaker but stepping into the role of a storyteller — one unafraid to explore the grey areas of the human experience.
The EP also builds anticipation for his upcoming album Uncle K, which promises to expand on the themes introduced in this project and cement his place as one of Africa’s most dynamic musical voices.
