Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has firmly debunked rumours linking him to a Vice-Presidential ambition in 2027.
The governor made this clear in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, on Wednesday.
According to Kaula-Mohammed, Radda dismissed the speculation during a gathering organized by the Dutsin-Ma Development Forum, held in Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area.
“I’ve seen posters and messages suggesting I’m pursuing another office. Let me be clear—I sought your mandate to serve as Governor of Katsina State, and that remains my only focus. I am not behind any campaign for another position. My duty is to fulfill the trust you’ve placed in me,” the governor said.

During the event, Governor Radda witnessed the distribution of 600 bags of maize and ₦5,000 in cash to victims of insecurity, an initiative driven by the forum. He praised the group for its compassion.
“Today demonstrates our shared values—caring for one another and standing together through difficult times,” Radda said.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to peace and security, he added, “Security remains our topmost priority. We’re working tirelessly to restore lasting peace in Katsina. We will never make promises we can’t keep, and our decisions will always be guided by sincerity and the fear of God.”
Addressing concerns from residents, Governor Radda also announced plans to extend the ongoing waterway project from Dutsin-Ma to Charanchi and surrounding areas.
Dr. Sabi’u Liadi, Chairman of the Dutsin-Ma Development Forum, commended the governor’s humility and responsiveness.
“Your presence here today speaks volumes. You chose to come in person, and that shows the kind of leader you are,” Liadi stated.
The Chairman of Dutsin-Ma Local Government, Alhaji Kabir Abdussalam-Shema, described Radda as a compassionate and courageous leader, adding, “Without hesitation, we have endorsed Your Excellency for a second term. We believe in continuity because we’ve seen tangible results.”
In response to the endorsement, Radda said, “If it is the will of Almighty Allah and good for the people, it shall be. But if not, I pray for Allah (SWT) to guide us to something even better.
