Global Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has added another milestone to his illustrious career as his fourth studio album Timeless received Silver Certification in the United Kingdom.
The recognition, confirmed by Chart Data, comes after the album surpassed 100,000 unit sales in the UK, earning it a coveted silver plaque from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
Released on March 31, 2023, Timeless is a rich tapestry of sounds that blends Afrobeats, reggae, dancehall, konto, highlife, and Afropop.
The album showcases Davido’s artistic versatility and features 17 dynamic tracks with an all-star lineup of collaborations, including Asake, Skepta, Angelique Kidjo, Dexta Daps, Fave, and Cavemen.
The project was met with immediate global acclaim, dominating digital platforms and breaking several streaming records. It became the most streamed album on Spotify Nigeria within 24 hours of its release and set new benchmarks on Boomplay, Audiomack, and YouTube.
Among its many accolades, Timeless received a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album. Its lead single, “Unavailable,” not only became a viral hit on TikTok but also secured a Grammy nod for Best African Song Performance and was recently certified Silver in the UK. Another track, “Feel,” was recognized with a Grammy nomination for Best Global Song Performance, further cementing Davido’s status as an international music powerhouse.

To promote the album, Davido launched the “Timeless Tour,” a series of high-energy performances across North America and Europe.
The tour saw sold-out shows in key global cities including Washington D.C., Toronto, New York, and London. Fans praised the live experience for its vibrant stage production and Davido’s energetic delivery of hits from both Timeless and his earlier discography.
