The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of four suspects in connection with a large-scale visa scam.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed that the suspects were apprehended by operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID.
“The suspects, aged between 23 and 36, were initially reported at the Ago Okota Police Division before the case was transferred to the SCID for further investigation,” Hundeyin said.

Preliminary findings revealed that the suspects were staff members of an educational consultancy based in the Ago Okota area of Lagos.
Further investigations uncovered that the syndicate involves additional accomplices. Hundeyin confirmed that efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining members and bring them to justice once investigations are complete.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olohundare Jimoh, urged the public to verify the authenticity of any travel or recruitment agency before engaging in visa-related transactions to avoid falling victim to fraud.
