The Federal Executive Council will meet on Monday where President Bola Tinubu will inaugurate his cabinet.
On record 45 ministers will be assigned portfolios except three other nominees are able to scale security hurdles before the Federal Executive Council is convened.
The Senate on Monday concluded the screening of 48 men and women nominated by the President but stepped down the confirmation of Naisr El-Rufai, Stella Okotete and Senator Abubakar Danladi.
There was a flurry of activities last night to ensure the confirmation of the trio as the President met with Mr. Nyesom Wike and Mallam El-Rufai at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The two former governors are ministerial nominees but while Wike was screened and confirmed by the Senate, the nation’s upper legislative chamber did not confirm El-Rufai because of an alleged security report.
While Wike came at about 1:40 pm, El-Rufai entered the presidential wing of Aso Rock about 2pm.
A villa source hinted that efforts are on to ensure that the senate confirms Mallam El-Rufai.
Credible News can confirm that the Federal Executive Council will now meet on Mondays not Wednesdays.
