Buhari jets off to Daura after handing over to Tinubu

Following the inauguration of Nigeria’s new President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari has left Abuja for his hometown in Daura, Katsina State.

Buhari left the inauguration venue in Abuja immediately after handing over to Tinubu with his First Lady, Aisha Buhari.

The former president aide, Bashir Ahmad disclosed this in a video shared on his official Twitter handle on Monday.

He tweeted: “Alhamdulillah. President Muhammadu Buhari departs Abuja for Daura, his hometown, after eight years serving the country as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Thank you, Baba.”
