Nominations for the 2023 Black Entertainment Television, BET, awards have been unveiled with four Nigerian artistes: Burna Boy, Tems and Ayra Starr and Asake making the list.
Burna Boy was nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Video Director of the Year, Viewer’s Choice, and Best International Act categories.
Tems, who is a Grammy winner like Burna Boy, was nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artiste, Best Collaboration, and Viewer’s Choice categories.
Wizkid, also a Grammy Award winner, was nominated alongside Chris Brown in the Best Collaboration category.
However, both Asake and Ayra Starr earned one nomination each.
Other Africans on the list are Camidoh from Ghana, Libianca from Cameroon, Pabi Cooper from South Africa and Ko from South Africa among others.
