President Bola Tinubu has appointed Zacch Adedeji as the acting chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Services FIRS.
Until his recent appointment, Adedeji was formerly the special adviser to Tinubu on revenue. He is the substantive executive secretary, National Sugar Development Council
Adedeji, a first class accountant, will act as the outgoing chairman of the commission, Mohammed Nami proceeds on leave. His tenure ends in December 2023.
The certified accountant who hails from Oyo State, he recently bagged his doctorate degree in accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
