One Ali Denham, suspected to be mentally ill, has reportedly stabbed at least nine people to death in Adamawa State.
Reports indicate that there was a commotion in Kate-Gamji village, Sheleng Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday after Denham embarked on his killing spree for reasons unknown to members of the
A few angry youths who were miffed by the incident reportedly surrounded Denham, disarmed him and beat him to death.
“Ali Denham, a mentally ill man, killed nine villagers and was also killed by the angry youth of the community. This happened on Wednesday at Sheleng community”, anonymous source disclosed.
Another source who confirmed the incident to journalists added: “He was holding a knife and everyone that came his way, including an aged woman and man, were stabbed with the knife. He ensured the that any person he stabbed die before moving to someone else”.
It was gathered that the remains of the deceased persons were buried on Thursday evening.
Information gathered also disclosed that family members of Denham had fled the community.
The state police command, however, has not issued any official statement on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
