The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa has disclosed that late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, a.k.a MohBad  vomited and developed goose bumps after being injected three times by a nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, on September 12, 2023.

Owohunwa, at a press briefing on Friday at the state Command headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos gave an update on the death of the late singer.

The CP said the nurse who was invited by MohBad’s friend, Ayobami Sodiq, a.k.a Spending, to inject the singer at his residence, administered three injections believed to have led to the chain of reactions that eventually led to the singer’s death.

“MohBad began vomiting and developed goose bumps after the injections”, said the Police chief.

The CP added that: “So far 26 witnesses have been identified while many suspects have been interrogated in the ongoing investigation of the late singer”.

He noted that those interrogated include MohBad’s father, mother, sisters, brother, wife and manager among several others.

The CP also confirmed that there are ample evidences that Nigerian singer, Naira Marley and socialite, Balogun Olamilekan Eletu a.k.a Sam Larry assaulted the late singer while he was alive.

He said: “While Abdulazeez Fashola, a.k.a Naira Marley and Samson Balogun Eletu, a.k.a Sam Larry denied allegations of criminal liability in the death of MohBad and pleaded an alibi to justify their not being complicit in the incidents that occurred from 10th to 12th September, 2023, there are ample electronic and credible witnesses’ evidence linking them to cyberbullying, threat to life, assault occasioning harm and conduct likely to cause breach of peace against the deceased in his lifetime, following their roles in the incidents that occurred at The Chandelier Club and Elegushi Beach in June, 2023 as well as the alleged assault on MohBad in October, 2022 around the residence of Naira Marley at Lekki”.

Recall that Sam Larry had explained that his brawl with MohBad was over N2 million owed him by the late singer.

MohBad died on 12th September at the age of 27 under controversial circumstances.

Thousands of Nigerians have since demanded justice for the late singer in nationwide protests.

On September 18, the Lagos police inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team to probe the singer’s death.

Owohunwa had vowed that the command would use all its powers to fish out everyone indicted in the case.

On September 21, the police exhumed MohBad’s corpse for autopsy and are awaiting the results.

The Lagos police on Tuesday announced that it had Naira Marley in its custody for interrogation.

Sam Larry was also detained on September 29.

It was also reported that the Sabo-Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court during the week ordered the remand of Naira Marley and three others for the alleged conspiracy and murder of the late singer.

The others remanded are Ogedengbe Fisayo, 37; Ayobami Sadiq, 27; and Samson Eletu, 45.

The Chief Magistrate, Adeola Olatubosun ordered the remand for 21 days in the police State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCID, and adjourned the case until 25 October.
