Owohunwa, at a press briefing on Friday at the state Command headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos gave an update on the death of the late singer.
The CP said the nurse who was invited by MohBad’s friend, Ayobami Sodiq, a.k.a Spending, to inject the singer at his residence, administered three injections believed to have led to the chain of reactions that eventually led to the singer’s death.
“MohBad began vomiting and developed goose bumps after the injections”, said the Police chief.
The CP added that: “So far 26 witnesses have been identified while many suspects have been interrogated in the ongoing investigation of the late singer”.
He noted that those interrogated include MohBad’s father, mother, sisters, brother, wife and manager among several others.
The CP also confirmed that there are ample evidences that Nigerian singer, Naira Marley and socialite, Balogun Olamilekan Eletu a.k.a Sam Larry assaulted the late singer while he was alive.
He said: “While Abdulazeez Fashola, a.k.a Naira Marley and Samson Balogun Eletu, a.k.a Sam Larry denied allegations of criminal liability in the death of MohBad and pleaded an alibi to justify their not being complicit in the incidents that occurred from 10th to 12th September, 2023, there are ample electronic and credible witnesses’ evidence linking them to cyberbullying, threat to life, assault occasioning harm and conduct likely to cause breach of peace against the deceased in his lifetime, following their roles in the incidents that occurred at The Chandelier Club and Elegushi Beach in June, 2023 as well as the alleged assault on MohBad in October, 2022 around the residence of Naira Marley at Lekki”.
Recall that Sam Larry had explained that his brawl with MohBad was over N2 million owed him by the late singer.

Thousands of Nigerians have since demanded justice for the late singer in nationwide protests.
