Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , EFCC, reportedly arrested over 70 students of Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, during a midnight raid on hostels outside the campus.
The EFCC officials stormed the Fine Touch and Superb hostels in Oduduwa Estate and broke into rooms to arrest the students. The reasons for the arrests are yet to be confirmed, but it is reported that the students were taken from the hostel along with their phones and cars.
The Students’ Union President, Abass Ojo, confirmed the arrests, and the EFCC is expected to release a statement regarding the incident.
